About The Department

The R&A/C department of Valivalam Desikar Polytechnic college started in the year 1996. It offers three year full time Diploma programme in Mechanical Engineering (R&AC) with an intake of 60 Students and in addition the department admits 20% lateral entry students with H.S.C (both Academic and Vocational) and ITI background. The faculty of the department are highly qualified, committed self motivated and well trained to adopt best teaching learning process to impart knowledge to the students. The department organizes technical seminars, career guidance programmes, Quizz computations, Entrepreneurship programs etc to the students.

The department through Head of the institution signed MOU's with so many number of R&AC related industries so that all students are facilitated for industrial visit and internship training before they complete their course thereby the students acquire best awareness about the activities of the industries.

Our department is unique in imparting knowledge and skills using highly interactive and innovative with ultra modern teaching aids like computers and projectors. Adequate numbers of guest lectures, Industrial Visits and Inplant trainings are organized for the benefit of the students.
Internship trainings are given to the students to gain practical exposure in industries. The students are encouraged to do project works with innovative concepts.
We aim to train our students to become well qualified, professionally trained and application oriented technocrats.
The department has highly motivated and skilled faculty members rendering dedicated services to shape the students.
